Could a Food Intolerance be the Cause of Your Pain?

By Dr Steven Yen

There's a good chance that when you've gone to your doctor and explained that you were having bowel movement issues, joint discomfort, or insomnia, that your physician sent you home with tablets. Most likely, these medicines were anti inflammatory pills or painkillers and your physician sent you home with a,"you and your tests look fine."

Pill prescription is a common practice, which isn't a surprise to several of you; nonetheless it doesn't mean that prescribing pills is necessarily the BEST course of action to mend the reason for your problem. Trust me, if you're experiencing discomfort then there's anything wrong!

Many doctors prescribe tablets to help in finding TRANSIENT relief to MASK the problem not Long term relief which actually FIXES the problem!!

That is the point where some patients look for other, alternative answers to rid themselves of agony. If you have been on my sitebefore, you know that I personally preferalternative options (why drain your wallet on tablets and surgeries that just don't work?) but have you considered food bigotry testing?

The idea of food intolerance's causing agony in patients is quickly gaining traction throughout the irritable bowel consultant community. Believe it or disbelieve it, "In 2004, the UK journal Tum published a controlled trial on irritated bowel syndrome that showed the average victim has six to seven food intolerances. It discovered that 75 p.c of sufferers can be assisted by exactly eliminating problem foods."

SEVENTY-FIVE P.c OF SUFFERS!!!

Perhaps rather more exciting, the same article explains, "Irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, indigestion, heartburn, joint pain, eczema, bloating, stomach pain, anal bleeding, insomnia and weight gain can all be signs of food intolerances, claims Dr. Gordon Ko, director of the fibromyalgia clinic at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre."

If you're in pain and if you cannot work out The right way to help your body help yourself, why not try this?

When you are intolerant to particular foodstuffs, swelling occurs and could cause other issues within your body. You want to put that fire out! The fire can be eliminated by changing your food habits (like I explain in The Good, The Bad, and The Repugnant diet plan) but first, you have to understand what is happening in your body. You can think that you're eating right but you won't know that one of those "healthy" foods is essentially something your body is super receptive to.

There are 1 or 2 different ways to find out of you are intolerant to some of the things that you might be eating.

The number one way is by having your doctor perform a blood test. By doing this, your GP will be well placed to quickly establish which foods you may be intolerant of.

The second way is not so accurate BUT it's a test you can simply perform yourself by taking your heart beat before and after you eat the food in question. To correctly perform this test, you first must learn your base pulse rate. Find your heartbeat on either your wrist or your neck and then record how often your heart beats inside one minute. After you have this number then go on and eat a single food (only milk, only wheat, etc.). Take a look at your heartbeat rate 15, 30, and 60 minutes after consuming the food and see whether your heartbeat rate rises. An elevation of more than 10 beats is an indicator that you're receptive to that food.

Because food intolerance causes similar symptoms to what most chronic pain patients feel, it's worth learning more about!

Why live in pain if you do not have to?
